That's a 10-4 on the teacher posting. I'm already looking forward to attending next year. Who teaches what will of course help me decide what to study. Then and between now and then. Oh and the replacement tuner arrived no hassles no problems. Good folks at Onboard Research. Be well... R/

Yes I emailed the folks at OnBoard Research and they were more than helpful. So a replacement tuner will be on the way within one day of when my damaged one arrives in Texas. Now it's up to the Post Office. Once again Kamp was " a most excellent adventure" and the materials I returned home with are enough to keep me studying / learning / entertained till next June. R/

Well Kamp was more than fun. I did start to droop towards the end of week 2. Glad there was no week 3. I look forward to attending again. R/ Calvert

Hey Steve
Haven't checked the ning site in a while and just got your communication: all is well, thanks for asking: managing to stay busy playing the guitar, producing here and there, doing a lot of camps this summer: good luck with yours, and thanks for checking in with me

It's this smorgasbord of a camp, I tell you! Too many choices - it's a musical food court! But I had the same problem as well, choosing between orchestra and bass class, etc...

With your blessing, I'd like to bring some music and see if anyone would like to take an hour out of their evening jam time to play/rehearse, and we can see where it goes from there.

Thanks Steve, see you in a few weeks!

Hey Steve - do you know if there are any plans for a guitar/mando orchestra this year? If not, I was thinking about bringing some stuff and seeing if there were any volunteers willing to play in one - I certainly missed it last year!

Haven't sent in my registration yet, but will do it soon...I promise!

Thanks.

Hi Steve,
Airline and Kamp registration are booked.
There are some other MN pickers coming week 2 so that helped sway my decision.
I am really looking forward too it.
I struggled with intermediate or advanced. I think maybe I fall somewhere in between.
I figured it's probably better to make sure I get the basics than have too much go over my head.
See you in June!!!

Thanks for the welcome, Steve. And thanks for the email reply about registration last weekend. As much as I would like to have some classes with Dan Crary, I think I am still going to sign up for week 2. The instructors look great both weeks but the 2nd week works out better schedule wise and I like the instrument mix better the second week. I am really looking forward too it.

Does the $775 cover room and board as well as all other costs? What are the times and dates for arrival and departure for week two?

Thanks,

Ken

I have looked all over your webpage and cannot find anywhere the cost for the camp, lodging arrangements, schedule, etc.

Need to know these things in order to register.

Thanks Steve, glad to be aboard. I need to sign up for Kamp this week. Did you ever get chance to glance at the information I gave you at the concert in Lexington?

Back to pickin' after a messy 3 weeks of bad weather

Howdy Steve!
I just bought a (cheap!) banjitar and got your instruction book. People at work are looking at me strangely because I go around the office muttering "down up down up" all day long! I tell them it's a stock market thing, but secretly, I'm playing Roll On Buddy in my head. Thanks for another challenging instruction book, and I'm looking forward to Kamp '09!

My son and i will be signing up shortly. I am debating whether going to flatpicking class though. I would say that i am between beginning and intermediate, but totally clueless in jams. I have not found anyone in my area to try to jam with, but will keep trying!
