Yeah Mark, Sure was fun.. Great seeing you and Mo again. If you are up in New England later on in July, stop by the Ossippee Valley Bluegrass Festival
July 23 - 26th.. (Flatpick contest on the 25th) Tyler Grant won last year, Roy Curry was second and Steve Lewis third.. There was a lot of great picking..

Mark,
Took your advice and signed up for Kamp Week 1..
Been doing a little boating here in the VI and will be doing some diving real soon.
SAMW was an ear-opener for me to say the least.. Maybe I can get out of the shadows at Kamp?

Hi Mark,

Thanks for thinking about me. I'm just plugging along. Life is actually pretty good. I hope things are going well for Mo & yourself.

I know I've told you this before &, I'm sure you think about it regularly, but you surely found a keeper when you met Mo. Kinda like me -- my wife is one that I'm lucky to have. The good Lord smiled on both of us, didn't he?

I'm probably not going to kamp this year, but, maybe, we'll run into one another sometime "down the road" as Kaufman always says.

Your bud,

Roger Renfro

Profile Information

Have you attended Steve Kaufman's Acoustic Kamp in the past? If so what years?
2009 will be my 10th or 11th year as an instructor/performer. I can't remember...
What instruments do you play?
Guitar and mandolin.
What are some of your fondest memories of Kamp?
All the opportunities I've had to help people with their music and watching them improve because of it. Steve and Donna's camps are some of the best atmospheres for teaching and learning I've ever seen. Fantastic instructors and students alike. Also a terrific scholarship program started by our own Harry Moore. Very fine!
Who would you like to see teaching at Kamp?
Anyone who leaves ego at the door and truly teaches that way. Also if Clarence would come back to life and teach there I would sign up!
