Good to see your smiling face again on the site. I really enjoyed the introduction to Django session that you did at Kamp. It's a wee bit of a jazz black hole down here on the Portuguese Algarve. What they call Jazz is more endless fusion stuff, very clever but I keep waiting for the tune to start. I play piano witha Dixieland style band three nights a week during the season, but I'm trying to get into solo voice and guitar in the 20's 3'0's and 4o's classic song book. It's a trial and error process mostly, but playing piano gives me a bit of an edge. I just miss the back line when I'm playing on my own. The UK is putting on TV some of the 60's 70's folk stuff from the Albert Hall. Looks interesting if you can get it over there. Whwn you see Tom Paxton say hello from me. He inroduced me and Harvey Andrews to the audience one evening at The Royal Festival Hall. My knees are still knocking.
Keep fit and well.
Love

Also, two of my guitar students are 6 and 9 year old brothers. Where can I read more details about your juvenile instructional DVD's? Also, what is the URL of your website?

I used to get to Baltimore a lot, as my consulting for a client here in New Mexico caused me to spend much time helping with a laser development project in Lithincum. This activity led to the eating of an inordinate number of crabcakes at G&M, That activity abruptly stopped about 2 years ago with a Gov't funding closure, but I'll be back late May early June for a laser conference in Baltimore. Perhaps we can cross paths then, or at KK later in June.

I don't recall our meeting, so I will introduce myself. I am a very long-term guitar student of Eric Thompson, and for 5 years a mandolin student of Sharon Gilchrist. I did advanced guitar 2006 and intermediate mandolin 2008. I had a great visit with Kathy Barwick, whom I am sure you know. I enjoy a lot of jam and duet work here in the Santa Fe area in Northern New Mexico.

You know this whole site wouldn't have happened if you hadn't suggested the Kamp Network. Thanks and good luck with all you've got going on.
See you at Kamp in 2010
Hugs to you and Cathy
